Whitfield County Office
The District Attorney's Office is located on the main floor of the Whitfield
County Courthouse. Upon entering the building at the public entrance on the south side
of the building you will proceed through a security checkpoint. Immediately after
this checkpoint, turn left and go to the end of the hallway which turns left and then
right as it takes you to the west end of the courthouse. The District Attorney's Office is
at the end of the hallway, on the left across from the elevator.

Victim Witness Assistance Program
The Victim/Witness Assistance Program has it's primary office in the
Judicial Building (Formerly the Dalton Fire Department and often referred to as "the
old fire hall") located just north of the Whitfield
County Courthouse. The public entrance to the building is on the north side of the
building facing Dalton Green, a local park. As you enter the building you will go through
a security checkpoint into a bay area where fire trucks once parked. Keep going forward
towards the large glass windowed office of the Court Administrator. Just before you get to
the Court Administrators Office, turn left and go through a set of double doors into a
hallway. Turn right and head towards the office of Judge Robert B. Adams, then turn right
and head to the end of the hall. The Victim Witness Assistance Program is the last doorway
on the left.

Domestic Violence Unit
The Domestic Violence Unit, a division of the District
Attorney's Office, has its primary office in Whitfield County in the Magistrate Court
Building, originally City Park School, which now houses the Magistrate Court, Board of
Registrars, Community Action Center and Office of Veterans Affairs as well as the Domestic
Violence Unit. The building is located at the corner of Waugh Street and Thornton Avenue.
The Domestic Violence Unit's offices are located on the main hall, at the opposite end
from Magistrate Court and across from the Office of Veterans Affairs.
